The ISA (Implementation Research Saxony-Anhalt) project presents its work on the website isa-ummd.de. The goal is to put new and proven medical and psychosocial care services into practice in Saxony-Anhalt.
The website “ISA – Implementation Research Saxony-Anhalt” provides information about a regional research project conducted by the School of Medicine at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, which aims to improve the translation of evidence-based medical and psychosocial care approaches into practice and to implement them locally in northern Saxony-Anhalt.
On the website, visitors can find detailed information about the project’s three main research areas—emergency and critical care medicine, psychosomatic medicine, and the Saxony-Anhalt Rural Cohort (LäKoSA)—including descriptions of the objectives, research questions, and current findings and activities.
Those interested can use the menu items to navigate directly to the respective project sections, find out about news and publications, and contact the project leaders. In addition, the website presents opportunities for public participation, such as taking part in public surveys, group meetings, interviews with healthcare professionals, and informational events as part of the LäKoSA project; all of these opportunities are clearly communicated, and contact and registration options (e.g., via email or online form) are provided.
These contents and interactive features are designed to give visitors a clear picture of the project's work and to actively promote dialogue with the scientific community and the local population.
We are committed to digital accessibility and aim to design our website so that it is fully accessible to all users. Therefore, we are continuously working to fully implement the requirements of the Act on Strengthening Accessibility (BFSG) and the Ordinance on the Act on Strengthening Accessibility (BFSGV).
Our website complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG):
ARIA Roles and Attributes: Our website ensures that all ARIA roles and attributes are valid, correctly written, and consistent in their values. This enables screen readers to reliably interpret interactive elements.
Logical Element Relationships: The hierarchical arrangement of ARIA elements aligns with semantic requirements. This ensures that screen reader users experience consistent structures in widgets such as menus or forms.
Seamless voice output: Buttons, links, and menu items have unique, descriptive names. This allows screen readers to precisely identify and read aloud all interactive elements.
Keyboard navigation: Consistent focus control and accessible button labels allow users with limited motor function to use the system entirely without a mouse.
Content Navigation: A logical hierarchy of headings, clear link text, and image descriptions provide guidance.
Correct language markup: When valid language attributes are included in the HTML structure, screen readers interpret the text with the correct pronunciation.
Flexible Display: By consistently avoiding scaling restrictions, users with visual impairments can enlarge content as needed—without losing any information.
Technical robustness: By using unique ARIA IDs and correct HTML semantics, we avoid conflicts with assistive technologies.
